Victoria parks has more protected green-space
than any other city in Canada. Parks
in Victoria include coastal hiking trails,
cycling and walking trails, wildlife
sanctuaries, wilderness preserves, gardens,
lakes, rivers, beaches and mountains.
Victoria boasts more than 10,230 hectares
of green-space in 30 regional parks
and trails. Add to that about two thousand
more hectares in provincial and national
parkland, and visitors can begin to
appreciate why this city is so aptly
named the “Greenways Capital of
Canada.”
